What is VoIP?
VoIP stands for “Voice over Internet Protocol” and it is a more flexible and modern solution to traditional landline phones.
With VoIP, you don’t need the physical infrastructure or any wiring to get it running. The service works by transmitting and receiving sound through the internet. The only infrastructure required to run your VoIP phone is a reliable internet connection.
What is a PBX?
PBX stands for “Private Branch Exchange”, which is a private telephone network used within a company or organisation.

Yes, the hardware you use will affect what kind of speeds you can reach. Our favourite and most recommended modem is the Netcomm Business Grade!
What is a static IP address?
A Static IP is a fixed address that is assigned to a device by an Internet Service Provider (ISP). These IP addresses don’t change, which means that other devices will be able to find and connect to the device easily.
Having a Static IP means that your business can utilise file hosting on a network server, access printers over the network, host a website or email server for your business and set up remote access to your network when you’re away from the office.

How easy is it to transfer?

Our support team works closely with our engineering and porting teams, who collate your numbers from your provided bill. Once that porting request is lodged by us and accepted by your previous Telco, then that’s it. You’re now part of our premium Aussie network.
How long does it take to port my number to central telecoms?
Once the port request is lodged, it can take anywhere between 2 to 12 weeks (depending on your previous carrier) to transfer. Until the port-over request is accepted from your previous Telco, your services will still be connected to them.
